Gabriella C. Pridjian, MD

About Dr. Pridjian

I am a Professor and former Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University School of Medicine, where I also serve as a clinical geneticist in the Human Genetics Program. I received my medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Chicago, Chicago Lying-In Hospital.

After several years at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, I moved to New Orleans and completed a fellowship in Human Genetics at Tulane University School of Medicine. I went on to serve as Chief of Maternal-Fetal Medicine before becoming Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lecture nationally and internationally and have authored numerous publications. My research focuses on preeclampsia, prenatal diagnosis, pregnancy loss, and metabolic disorders in pregnancy. I also speak Spanish and Italian and value the opportunity to connect with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
