LCMC Health nurses are honored during National Nurses Week

So far, 2020 has lived up to being “The Year of the Nurse and Midwife.” With this week being dedicated to the nursing profession, we believe all nurses around the world deserve our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the work they’re doing and the sacrifices they are making to ensure their communities are safe.

Here in New Orleans, we’ve seen our nurses go above and beyond to take care of our community. In return, our community has rallied around them to make sure they have everything they need to continue to provide heartfelt care to their patients.

To celebrate National Nurses Week, a few of our many healthcare heroes have been featured in local news segments celebrating nurses:

Toni Rougeou, BSN, RN, University Medical Center – Nurse of Virtual Family Reunions

Amanda Thibodaux, RN, Children’s Hospital New Orleans - Schonberg Healthcare Hero of the Day

Eboni Payton, Nurse Practitioner, West Jefferson Medical Center – Nurses Week news segment

Children’s Hospital New Orleans nurses who volunteered at our adult hospitals – Nurses Week news segment

Dan Flynn, RN, Touro – Nurses Week news segment
