LCMC Health CEO Gregory C. Feirn Named an Icon of New Orleans by CityBusiness

New Orleans, LA (August 30, 2018)LCMC Health Chief Executive Officer Gregory C. Feirn was recognized by CityBusiness, a regional business publication, as one of 20 “Icons of New Orleans.”

This year, to mark New Orleans’ 300th anniversary, CityBusiness is honoring business leaders who have moved our community forward through their energy, innovative ideas, achievements and commitment to excellence. Those selected, according to the publication, have had a lasting influence on the city’s economic development and made their mark on the city overall.

Feirn has served as CEO of LCMC Health, a Louisiana-based not-for-profit hospital system, since 2014. LCMC Health operates and manages Children’s Hospital New Orleans, Touro, University Medical Center New Orleans, New Orleans East Hospital, and West Jefferson Medical Center. As CEO, Feirn works closely with the Board of Trustees to provide executive oversight, analysis of system and hospital operations, and overall strategic direction.

A native of Wisconsin, Feirn joined the Children’s Hospital family in 1998 as the organization’s comptroller. His talent was quickly recognized and a succession of promotions at Children’s Hospital followed, including Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Operations/Research & Technology, and Sr. Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. At the inception of LCMC Health, Feirn assumed the role of system Sr. Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, followed by a promotion to President/Chief Operating Officer and, ultimately, Chief Executive Officer in May 2014 at the age of 43.
