Celebrating our newest New Orleanians, one page at a time.
Touro believes in caring for our community throughout their lives, starting on day one. Through the generosity of Jane Bories’ family, a copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar will be “delivered” to each baby born at Touro for 12 months. This program was created, in partnership with the Touro Infirmary Foundation, in memory of Jane Bories, who wanted her legacy to live on by fostering the love of reading for the next generation. When babies are read to, it forms bonds and improves the baby’s cognitive growth.
