Tulane Health System appoints new directors

Tulane Health System has named Amy Lassiter-Holsapple its director of emergency services and Paul Genco its program director for inpatient rehabilitation services.

As director of emergency services, Amy Lassiter-Holsapple will have responsibility for the emergency rooms at both Tulane Medical Center and Lakeside Hospital for Women and Children. A graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, she began her career as a staff nurse in the emergency department at the Henry Ford Health System in the Detroit area, prior to moving to New Orleans. After joining Tulane in 2007, she advanced in leadership roles as clinical supervisor and clinical manager, a position she has held since 2013. Most recently, Amy served as interim director of emergency services, while the search for a permanent replacement was underway.

Lassiter-Holsapple is Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certified and is also certified as a TNCC Instructor. She was an instrumental member of the leadership team that helped obtain the Tulane Medical Center’s Senior-Friendly ER designation recently recognized by the Emergency Nurses Association.

Following a nationwide search, Paul Genco has been named the health system’s program director for inpatient rehabilitation services. In partnership with PT Solutions, Genco will lead all health system operations, regulatory compliance and programmatic outreach efforts across southeast Louisiana.

Genco received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Southeastern University and a master’s degree in health Administration from the University of New Orleans. He worked with Touro Rehabilitation Center and most recently served as director of business development at Cobalt Rehabilitation. He has also served on the board of directors for the Brain Injury Association of Louisiana for the past seven years.
