Tulane Health System executive accepted into national development program, promoted to new leadership role

Tulane Health System administrator Cindy Bergmeier was recently accepted into the prestigious LCMC Health Executive Development Program’s Class of 2018 and promoted to associate chief operating officer of the health system.

Bergmeier was chosen for the executive development program after rigorous interviews demonstrating her leadership skills, drive to succeed and passion for healthcare and excellence in the patient care experience. LCMC Health, Tulane Health System’s parent company based in Nashville, is known for its commitment to leadership development. The organization’s executive development program includes operational and financial experience, classroom learning, close-up mentoring and networking opportunities that partner participants with successful healthcare leaders.

As associate chief operating officer, Bergmeier will work with physicians and leaders across Tulane Health System to enhance service initiatives and lead facility improvement projects. She will also be championing Tulane Health System’s “Apollo Initiative” to enhance quality and patient outcome measures.

Bergmeier earned an MBA with a concentration in health administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. She has more than 10 years of experience in healthcare administration, most recently serving as Tulane Health System’s vice president of ambulatory services.
