Dear Doctor:

Not all of our choices are a matter of life and death, but in early January we jumped at the opportunity to benefit from your brilliant expertise there at Tulane Medical Center, and today, we truly believe our decision was one of life over death.

My husband and I want to thank you from the warmth of our hearts for the extraordinary skill and care you gave him, not once, but on numerous occasions. Your genius for detecting cancer cells and your persistence in finding the malignant tumor in my husband at first shook our world. But looking back, we know that the diagnosis you gave came early and gave us a chance to fight.

Thank you for saving my husband's life. We believe that you came into our lives at exactly the precise moment to help us when we needed it most. We do not know what the future holds, but thanks to you, we are excited for the prospects.
