University Medical Center New Orleans and The Blood Center are hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, April 8 from 8 am to 4 pm at University Medical Center's Conference Center, Room F. Donate blood and support the critical shortage. We will be accepting walk-ins, but encourage you register here.

COVID-19 blood donor FAQs:

• You can still donate blood if you've had COVID-19 once symptom-free for 10 days. If asymptomatic, you must wait 10 days from the date of your positive test result.
• If you have had a monoclonal antibody infusion, you must wait three months before donating.
• The Blood Center is testing all blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies. (This test is not an active virus infection test.)
