Volunteer
The women and men who donate their time and skills to Lakeside Hospital’s Volunteer Department are immeasurable. They are a valued resource and an important part of our healthcare team. They enrich the lives of our patients, staff, and visitors. While they do not replace our paid staff, the volunteers support and complement the services already provided by our staff.
Volunteers help create and promote an understanding of Lakeside's services and its quality care within the community. The Manager of Volunteers works with each individual to match their interests, skills and talent with assignments that are available. However, no special skills or training is needed – just the desire and willingness to be helpful.
Student volunteers also add to the support of the department. A student volunteer is anyone that is enrolled in an educational institution, i.e., high school, college/university, technical/trade school, and has in interest in a health career, to fulfill a community service requirement, or has free time. Students are minimum age 14 and going into the 9th grade.
