National agency recognizes LCMC Health H.E.A.R.T. Team for service during COVID-19

NEW ORLEANS -- Advisory Board, a national agency dedicated to providing strategic support for healthcare leaders and organizations, has honored LCMC Health in their recent publication, "Bright Spots," which aims to recognize people and organizations across the country who are going above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic.

LCMC Health's H.E.A.R.T. Team (Helping Every Area Receive Things), led by Christe Brewton, Assistant Vice President of Patient Access at LCMC Health, was named in the publication for their volunteer service in helping shuttle much-needed PPE supplies across the LCMC Health system of care.

When Brewton wasn’t working her day job, she was taking shifts with other LCMC Health workers to move equipment from one hospital to another, sometimes in the middle of the night.

"The HEART Team was formed to make sure hospitals have the gear they need to battle the COVID-19 pandemic," Brewton said.
