National Academy of Medicine Change Maker
We’re taking measurable and meaningful steps to make your well-being our priority by joining forces with 270 other organizations in signing the National Academy of Medicine’s Change Maker initiative. This collaborative effort aims to spark a national movement to support health workforce well-being, drive collective action to strengthen well-being, and restore the health of the nation, as more nurses, physicians, and public health employees than ever are poised to leave healthcare professions.
WellBeing First Champion
LCMC Health is engaging with employers and national thought leaders to close health equity gaps. For the second straight year,the American Heart Association has recognized LCMC Health as a silver level employer in the 2024 Well-being Works Better™ Scorecard. The scorecard spotlights and applauds our commitment to workforce well-being. The Association’s scorecard is a free, comprehensive, and voluntary benchmarking tool for leaders to assess, support, and improve policies and programs that address workforce mental health, burnout, health equity, financial health, volunteerism and community partnerships. Utilizing the latest research and insights from industry experts, the tool assists in evaluating how our policies and procedures compare to leading best practices nationwide.

Live Well Jefferson Up and Comer Award
The Live Well Jefferson Healthy Business Summit celebrates a culture of health and wellness among the business community and residents of Jefferson Parish. LCMC Health was recognized with the Up and Comer Award in 2022. Utilizing feedback and input from team members across the health system, the Be Well Center was recognized for establishing four foundational pillars: Organizational Culture of Wellness, Efficient Work Environment, Personal Well-Being/Resilience and Peer Support.
