University Medical Center Pharmacy Residency Programs
The Pharmacy Residency Programs at University Medical Center New Orleans (UMCNO) offers a comprehensive, 52 week training program designed to develop the clinical and professional skills necessary for pharmacists to excel in diverse healthcare settings. Located in the heart of New Orleans, our program provides a unique opportunity for residents to gain broad-based experience in pharmaceutical care while being exposed to a wide variety of patient populations and clinical disciplines.
Program goals
Upon completion of the Pharmacy Residency Programs at UMCNO, graduates will have the skills and knowledge to:
- Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care across diverse clinical environments.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and healthcare professionals with clarity and confidence.
- Demonstrate leadership within the pharmacy profession.
- Pursue certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).
