Two Kidney Transplant Recipients made my life better

“ He is doing well and still making us laugh at his bad jokes, but we love him and we are glad to still have him around.”

My next door neighbor needed a kidney transplant. He was in his 50s and was the bread winner in his household. He did peritoneal dialysis for about 5 years. Finally he had a kidney match and had the transplant. He lived for about 5 years after the transplant, eventually having complications. I miss him.  Also, a very vibrant church member needed a liver transplant and finally a match was found. He is doing well and still making us laugh at his bad jokes, but we love him and we are glad to still have him around.
