Celebrating Cancer Survivors at the Cancers Survivors Day Brunch

Celebrating Cancer Survivors at the Cancers Survivors Day Brunch

The West Jefferson Medical Center’s Cancer Care celebrated cancer survivors on National Cancer Survivors Day at a special brunch sponsored by Boomtown Casino and Hotel.

Cancer survivors and loved ones came and celebrated survivorship, hope, and resilience at this special brunch. The theme of this year’s brunch was Let the Good Times Roll. The morning included a delicious brunch by Boomtown Casino, live music from The Medics, fun door prizes, and a photo booth. The attendees heard from Chris Breaux of the West Jefferson Hospital Foundation, and Nancy Clay, a local cancer survivor. Ms. Clay spoke about how she maintained a positive outlook throughout her breast cancer journey by relying on the support of her family, friends, and staff at West Jefferson’s Cancer Care.

The West Jefferson Hospital Foundation is so thankful to Boomtown Casino and the attendees, vendors, volunteers and staff who made this year’s Cancer Survivors Brunch such a fun and meaningful event.
