Boomtown Casino & Hotel supports the Care House with their generous donation to the West Jefferson Hospital Foundation

The West Jefferson Hospital Foundation is proud to recognize Boomtown Casino & Hotel for their generous donation to the Foundation’s Care House, a home-away-from-home for families whose loved ones are receiving critical care at West Jefferson Medical Center.

Through this meaningful contribution, Boomtown Casino & Hotel purchased new furniture and essential items to make the Care House a warmer and more welcoming place for families during some of their most challenging moments. The donation included new living room furniture, a dining room set, patio furniture, a new dishwasher, and a full supply of toiletries.

“We are incredibly grateful to Boomtown Casino for investing in these essential updates that will directly impact families for years to come”, says Garett May, President and CEO of West Jefferson Medical Center. “The Care House provides more than a place to stay, it offers comfort and care when families need it most”.

The Care House is a three-bedroom/bath, fully furnished home right in West Jefferson’s own backyard and offers a laundry facility, day room, full kitchen, and dining room. The West Jefferson Hospital Foundation relies on generous gifts and support from individuals and businesses to cover the operating costs (utilities, maintenance, etc.) in order to provide this free place to stay for adult family members while their loved one is receiving specialized care at West Jefferson’s critical care unit.
