About Dr. Lovera

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. I completed my neurology residency at Tulane University School of Medicine and earned a Master of Science degree in Public Health and Biostatistics from Tulane University School of Public Health. I then completed a three-year clinical and research fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at Oregon Health & Science University. Following this specialty training, I returned to New Orleans to join the LSU Department of Neurology.

I devote my clinical practice and research efforts to the diagnosis and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). My research projects have focused on evaluating innovative therapies designed to improve cognitive functioning and brain health in individuals diagnosed with MS.
