Lakeview Regional announces the 2014 frist humanitarian award winners

Humanitarian Award WinnersLakeview Hospital is pleased to announce that its 2014 Frist Humanitarian Awards were presented to the following individuals:

Charles Muntan, MD, Physician—physician who displays a concern for the well-being of others beyond his/her day-to-day responsibilities
Cathy Williams, RN, Women’s Service Director—an employee who give unselfishly to patients within our facilities and the community
Harold Fonte, Volunteer Auxiliary—volunteer who give unselfishly to patients within our facilities and the community
Melissa Sheridan, RN, Nursery/NICU—Excellence in Nursing Award for Compassionate Care

"Their dedicated spirit and genuine concern for the welfare of others is outstanding."

The Frist Humanitarian Award was founded in 1971 and honors outstanding individuals for humanitarian and volunteer services. Named on honor of the late Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Sr., founder of LCMC Health and renowned humanitarian, this award recognizes individuals whose daily dedication and care-giving epitomizes the highest standards of quality and personal commitment.

“It is an honor to recognize the exemplary service to patients and the healthcare community that these four Frist winners exhibit,” states Bret Kolman, Lakeview Regional Chief Executive Officer. “Their dedicated spirit and genuine concern for the welfare of others is outstanding.”

A reception was held in their honor on Wednesday, May 6th at 2:00 p.m.
