At Lakeview Hospital we strive to make our pediatric wing as welcoming, comfortable and non-threatening as possible. We understand the importance of play for children and provide an inpatient playroom filled with different developmentally appropriate toys that can be brought to patient rooms. Pediatric surgery

Should your child ever require surgery, we provide comprehensive pediatric care from the emergency room to inpatient services. We are the only hospital in the area with a pediatric general surgeon on staff for inpatient and outpatient pediatric procedures. All of our recovery room nurses are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

To ease the anxiety of our youngest, we offer Surgical Prep Teddy Bears. The Teddy Bears are used to keep as a teaching and comfort buddy throughout the hospital experience.

Pediatric imaging

Our imaging services department strives to assure safety and ease. Our staff believes in providing care with the least pain possible, while utilizing the latest state-of-the-art technology. Patients who use our imaging services are exposed to less radiation and sedation during testing procedures.

Lakeview Hospital is one of the first medical facilities in the region to incorporate the new Cinema Vision Virtual Reality System into MRI procedures. This helps claustrophobic and pediatric patients tolerate exams better while preventing the need for sedation as a prelude to MRI testing.
