blurry firetruckEMS Great Save Event to honor those first responders that save lives through quick action and competent care. In honor of National EMS Week (May 17 – 23, 2015), Lakeview Hospital will recognize the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine’s “front line.” At this event, one patient will also be reunited with his EMS crew and medical staff that was instrumental in his care and subsequent recovery, providing a rare opportunity to say “thank you,” a step that is often a significant part of the healing process.

“We thought National EMS Week was the perfect time to honor the emergency medical services personnel for their fast, efficient, and compassionate treatment,” states Bret Kolman, Lakeview Regional Chief Executive Officer. “If it wasn’t for the immediate response of these individuals many would not have survived or would have faced severe debilitating deficits.” First responders seldom learn of the outcomes of the patients they treat. This Great Save Event, which is set to become a quarterly event, will offer a chance for updates and reunions.
