Auxiliary donates $35K to West Jefferson Hospital Foundation for advanced brain surgery technology

The Auxiliary to West Jefferson Medical Center recently presented a check for $35,000 to the West Jefferson Hospital Foundation to help fund the purchase of the Deep Brain Stimulator surgical equipment for the LCMC Health Neuroscience Institute.

"We are very thankful for our partnership over the past several decades with the Auxiliary to provide healthcare with heart," said President and Chief Executive Officer, Rob Calhoun.

Thanks to this generous gift and those of the West Jefferson Medical Staff Corp and other area businesses, the Foundation was able to provide a total of $85,000 to the hospital for this valuable surgical equipment. The Deep Brain Stimulator will help hundreds of patients with movement disorders right here at West Jefferson.
