About Dr. Lackey
I pursued a career in medicine to better serve my country and the men and women who volunteer to place themselves in harm’s way. I chose to train in dermatology, as it offers the perfect mix of medicine and surgery. However, the surgical side of our specialty particularly appealed to me, so I further subspecialized in dermatologic surgery and the treatment of skin cancers.
I graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, and completed my dermatology residency at the National Capital Consortium at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. I went on to complete a Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship at Mystic Valley Dermatology Associates in Stoneham, MA.
I served in the U.S. Army for 25 years, serving my last few years as the Dermatology Consultant to the Office of the Surgeon General and Chief of Dermatology at Walter Reed. My primary focus is treating skin cancers using both surgical and non-invasive methods. I have a strong interest in the multidisciplinary care of complex skin cancers, especially in immunosuppressed patients.
