girl in princess dressLakeview Hospital is excited to announce that it will host the Kids’ Town EGGStravaganza on “the Green” on Sunday, March 20th from noon until 3pm. The event, taking place adjacent the pond facing the hospital, will feature three different age-level Easter egg hunts, special eggs with Elmer Candy coupons, food and drink, arts & crafts tents, entertainment, photos with the Walgreens Easter Bunny, and the Corporate Baby Duck Beauty Pageant. The highlight of the day is the Rubber Duck Regatta Race, for which only 2000 $5 duck entries will be sold. The first lucky duck to cross the finish line will win $500, 2nd place $250 and third place $100. Admission is just $1 per person. All proceeds go to the construction of Kids Town, a child-sized, western-style railroad town designed for interactive play that will include a fire station, sheriff’s office, general store, and more.

“We are thrilled to host this fun, family event that will help fund the Kids Town,” states Kim Melvin, LRMC Director of Marketing. “The Tammany Trace Foundation shares our commitment to the children of this community, and our combined efforts will assist in continuing to enhance our quality of life in St. Tammany.” The Tammany Trace Foundation is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is the inspiration behind the special events and fundraisers that help support numerous projects on the trace.

Adopt-a-duck tickets are available at the Lakeview Regional Medical Centers Volunteer Auxiliary Gift Shop, “The Ducks Nest;” and Kids Konnection Playground in Mandeville. Or visit www.kidstownsttammany.org or call 985.867.9490. Also, various levels of sponsorships are available.
