Mardi gras safety tips

Mardi Gras is such a fun time to celebrate with family and friends.

For those parading with children, we offer these safety tips:

1. Have your name and contact information on their person, so you can be contacted if they should get lost
2. Set up a meeting spot in case they get separated from you
3. Remind them not to get too close to the floats or bend down to pick anything up, lest they get their fingers stepped on by other parade-goers
4. Be wary of what children catch, especially toddlers, who could choke on broken beads or the eye of a stuffed animal
