Our hospital will design a birthing experience just right for you and your baby with spacious private labor and delivery suites, a neonatal intensive care unit, and compassionate family-centered care. At Lakeview Hospital, we deliver dreams.

Our women and newborn care team is committed to providing compassionate family-centered care for the physical and emotional wellbeing of expectant mothers, infants, children, and pre/post-menopausal women. Our state of the art facilities provide women on the Northshore with access to advanced equipment, and technology from pre-pregnancy through birth, as well as impeccable patient care in our pediatric radiology.

    At Lakeview Hospital, we share in your excitement and want to help announce the birth of your newborn baby with family and friends.

    • Baby’s 1st Birthday Cake - Lakeview Hospital recognizes that the birth of a baby isn't like other hospital visits. We want to help families celebrate this special occasion, so we have partnered with Covington's Sugar Sweet Bake Shop to provide a complimentary first birthday cake to our newborns.
    • We've partnered with Our 365 to provide a secure search of our online web nursery to see photos of your newborn baby born at Lakeview Hospital .
    • On-site concierge-style services, including dry cleaning, auto detailing, lunch delivery and floral services.
    Childbirth Education Series

    All childbirth education classes are free of charge for patients delivering at Lakeview.

    Preparing for childbirth

    NewbornThe Preparing for Childbirth class will help you get prepared for your upcoming delivery. Things covered will be; what to expect when you come to the hospital, when to come to the hospital, vaginal delivery and cesarean section information, pain management, complications in pregnancy, and the magical first hour after delivery.

    Lamaze class

    This class provides information on the changes to expect throughout pregnancy, and emphasizes on breathing techniques. Series of three classes.

    Newborn care class

    The postpartum experience both in the hospital and beyond can be overwhelming. With an emphasis on the mother and her new baby, this class focuses on the role of the pediatrician, healthy relationships, postpartum emotions, and feeding your baby.

    All breastfeeding education classes are free of charge for patients delivering at Lakeview.

    Breastfeeding class

    breastfeeding supportThe focus of this class is to help families achieve a successful breastfeeding experience both in the hospital and at home. Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants cover breastfeeding expectations in the early weeks and strategies for success. It is recommended that dad or other support persons attend as well. Dispelling myths and providing basics on preparing to breastfeed, along with feeding your newborn and pump pointers are discussed in this small informative class for women only.

    Guidelines for new moms and babies learning to breastfeed. Bring your newborn with you, and let our lactation experts help you transition into successful breastfeeding. Learn about the nutritional value of breast milk, your baby's weight gain, milk supply concerns, and more.

    Group tours

    Car seatTaking time to prepare before delivery to allow you to fully enjoy the birth experience with a tour of our facility. Second Saturday of each month starting at 10:30 am, running every half hour until Noon (10:30am, 11am, 11:30am, and Noon). Register by calling 985.867.4146.
