New Orleans East Hospital is hosting the 2025 Stroke Prevention through Identification of Risk and Initial Treatment (SPIRIT) on Friday, October 16, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

During the event, you can learn about stroke prevention and get an assessment to see if you are at risk for having a stroke. 

The event is limited to 50 people.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided!

Attendance required for the duration of the event, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

Screenings that will take place include:

*For a fasting glucose screening, abstain from eating anything before the event.

• Blood pressure
• Lipid Profile
• Heart rate
• EKG
• BMI
• Waist-hip ratio
• Carotid ultrasound
• Transcranial doppler
