About Dr. Nguyen
I specialize in oncology. I chose this specialty after taking care of my mother who was diagnosed with cancer while I was in college. I wanted to transform a personal experience and learn how to take care of others who are similarly affected with cancer. I strive to treat each patient with empathy, listening to their concerns, and developing individualized treatment plans to reach their goals.
My little something extra
I am a born and raised New Orleanian. I graduated from Brother Martin in 2008 and Tulane University in 2012. I completed the combined MD/PhD program at Tulane University School of Medicine in 2020 focusing on cancer research. I then moved to Houston for my training, first at the University of Texas Health Science Center McGovern Medical School for Internal Medicine, then MD Anderson Cancer Center for Hematology/Oncology.
