About Dr. Cooper
Jan Cooper
New Orleans East Hospital
I specialize in Primary Care. I became a provider because both of my parents were physicians and I always liked science, so medical school was a natural choice for me. In medical school I became fascinated with how the human body's multiple organ systems all work together, so I did my residency in internal medicine.
My patients can count on me for extraordinary care because my patients know that they can come to me with any problem, and I will address it, and I make sure they are knowledgeable about whatever healthcare conditions they have to that they can take control of their own health.
My little something extra
I have always loved animals - both tame and wild. I am already trained to be a volunteer at the Audubon Zoo, and I hope to do this when I retire.
