Frequently asked questions

Will insurance cover genetic testing?

Many insurance plans cover testing when it’s medically indicated. The lab that performs your testing typically works directly with your insurance company to determine coverage before moving forward. We’ll also discuss any insurance concerns as they relate to your personal situation and plan during your appointment.

What if I don’t have insurance?

Many genetic testing labs offer financial assistance programs that you may qualify for, including free or reduced-cost testing. We can help you apply for these programs and provide a cost estimate during your appointment.

What if I’m not sure I want genetic testing?

That’s okay! Our job is to provide information and help you make the best decision for you and your family. You are never required to proceed with testing.
