Introducing LCMC Health's official marching krewe

We got the beat!

Formed during Mardi Gras 2025, a marching krewe—Heart Beat, a colorful krewe of health care professionals from LCMC Health’s hospitals, clinics, and practices across the New Orleans area!

Who, what, when, and where?

Heart Beat made its debut in February 2025 with more than 150 members who are moving to an 80s beat! Heart Beat is an 80s-themed marching krewe comprised of LCMC Health team members. Though our logo may not be showcased, we are excited to share the essence behind our group of healthcare workers.

We often talk about fostering a culture that values community engagement and collaboration. Heart Beat, exemplifies this commitment to supporting each other and the communities we serve. Our team members volunteer their time to create an impactful group that resonates with the heartbeat of our hospitals and our city.

You can catch a Heart Beat performance at the following events:

  • Manning Children's Holiday Parade- December 7
  • CCC Christmas at Lafreniere Park- December 12
  • Krewe of Freret (Tentative - Uptown)- February 7

Why a dance krewe?

The better question is why not a dance krewe? But seriously the reason is LCMC Health is New Orleans-born and our staff of 18,000+ loves the local culture as much as anyone. Plus, given our line of work, it’s good to let loose, have a little fun, and blow off some steam.
