About Dr. Wolfe

I am originally from New York City, but I moved to New Orleans in 2006 to volunteer with a free clinic after Hurricane Katrina. During that time, I fell in love with both the city and the work of lowering barriers to healthcare. Before starting medical school, I worked as an ER tech and a health educator at a free clinic. I went on to attend LSU School of Medicine in 2012, then moved to Miami for my Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2016. I returned to New Orleans for my Pulmonology and Critical Care Fellowship at LSU, and in 2023, I joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonology and Critical Care.

My clinical and research interests include addressing racial health disparities in pulmonology and critical care, tuberculosis and post-tuberculosis lung disease, nontuberculous mycobacterial disease and bronchiectasis, harm reduction, preventive medicine, and improving access to care for vulnerable populations. I also serve as the director of the LSUHSC-Wetmore TB Clinic for Region 1 in New Orleans.
