About Cinnamon
My grandmother grew up in rural Mississippi and dreamed of practicing medicine in the 1920s. Although social circumstances prevented her from achieving that dream, her love of learning never faded. Each year she ordered a Columbia University School of Medicine textbook, and we would read it together. She sparked my love of medicine, family, and community, and I became a healthcare provider in her honor. My specialty found me early in my nursing career. Working with both pediatric and adult oncology patients allowed me to build deep, longitudinal relationships with those I care for. I promise my patients honesty and commitment, walking alongside them throughout their treatment journey—whether that path leads to remission and renewed health or to the end of life. Both life and death are deeply personal experiences, and when a patient is nearing the end of their life, my focus is on what matters most to them and helping them feel as comfortable and supported as possible for as long as possible. Patients can count on me to provide extraordinary care because I truly care for each person as if they were my own family. I take the time to listen, to understand, and to help my patients and their loved ones fully understand their treatment plan, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
My little something extra
I love to laugh and be a source of light and hope for my patients and their families. I believe patient education should never be one-size-fits all, so I take the time to tailor information in the way that’s most helpful for each individual. Every patient receives my full time, attention, and commitment to addressing all of their health needs
