About Dr. Khoobehi
I'm Dr. K. David Khoobehi, a neurologist with training in both neurology and internal medicine from Tulane Medical Center. I earned my medical degree from LSU School of Medicine, where I was honored with the Neurology Clerkship Outstanding Medical Student Award, and later received the Resident Teaching Award during my time at Tulane. I also hold a B.S. in Neuroscience from Tulane University.
I treat a wide range of neurological conditions, including migraines and headaches, stroke, concussion and brain injury, memory and cognitive disorders, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, and seizures. I’m involved in every phase of care—from diagnosis through recovery—and bring experience in neuro-rehabilitation to my practice.
My research background includes work on stroke, coma, brain tumors, and seizure disorders. In addition to my medical training, I’m fluent in Persian and Azerbaijani, which helps me connect with a diverse patient population.
My little something extra
