About Dr. Johnson

I became a healthcare provider after losing my grandmother to a preventable medical complication. That experience left a lasting impact on me and sparked a deep desire to be present and decisive during critical moments when patients and families are most vulnerable. Her death became the catalyst for my journey into medicine and continues to drive my commitment to patient-centered care. I was drawn to Neurosurgery early on, inspired by the brain’s complexity and the field’s blend of intellectual rigor, technical precision, and life-changing potential. I found my calling in Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery—a subspecialty that merges cutting-edge technology with intricate problem-solving to treat some of the most urgent and complex conditions in medicine. The variety of cases, from aneurysms and AVMs to ischemic strokes, keeps me constantly challenged and engaged.

Patients can count on me because I am a dual-trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeon, skilled in both open and endovascular techniques. This allows me to tailor care using the most effective and least invasive approach possible. I also bring a deep personal connection to my work as a Louisiana native, committed to serving my community with compassion, precision, and purpose. Every patient I see receives not only expert care—but also empathy, respect, and the reassurance that they are truly heard.

My little something extra
As a first-generation college graduate raised in a rural community, I am passionate about breaking barriers and mentoring the next generation of neurosurgeons. Outside of the OR, I enjoy cheering on our local sports teams and spending time with my family, which keeps me grounded and motivated.
