About Dr. Bateman

I became a healthcare provider to support people through some of the most challenging times in their lives and make a meaningful impact on them and their loved ones. I chose Internal Medicine because I value the opportunity to care for a wide variety of patients and build strong, ongoing relationships with them. I enjoy collaborating with the care team to provide the most up-to-date, evidence-based care. I also chose academic medicine because I find great fulfillment in teaching and mentoring future physicians. My patients can count on me for compassionate, thorough care, with a strong emphasis on communication and education.

My little something extra
I love the festivals of New Orleans, as they truly highlight what makes this city special—the people. From riding in Mardi Gras parades to meeting my spouse at Greek Fest, I have special memories from each festival and look forward to attending as many as possible each year.
