About Dr. De La Cruz
I specialize in Addiction Medicine and Adult Psychiatry to serve underserved communities, particularly those facing serious mental illness and substance use disorders. I’m passionate about expanding access to behavioral healthcare in Louisiana. I bring extensive experience in both clinical care and administration within community behavioral health. I've taught medical students and residents, and led seminars for local government, healthcare leaders, law enforcement, and community organizations on topics including healthcare access, substance use treatment, serious mental illness, and diversity.
My little something extra
I grew up in New Orleans and attended medical school here. After 15 years in California, I returned to New Orleans with my husband and three children to be closer to family here.
