About Dr. Fontenot
I became a trauma, acute, and critical care surgeon because I wanted to care for people at their most vulnerable moments. This field drew me in because it combines urgency with continuity—I can resuscitate a patient in the ED, manage them through critical illness in the ICU, and follow their recovery on the floor. That full spectrum of care is what I find most meaningful. Trauma surgery is unpredictable and demanding, but deeply rewarding, reminding me every day why I chose it: to stand with patients and families in their hardest hours and guide them toward recovery. Patients can count on me to stay calm and decisive in critical moments, provide meticulous care throughout recovery, and approach every patient and family with honesty, skill, and compassion. My little something extra
I am a huge live music enthusiast. When I am not working, you can typically find me at a concert or music festival. I am also crafty, and I am a self-taught sewist!
