Two hospitals currently hold Comprehensive Stroke Center certification from The Joint Commission, with a third expected soon, and all remaining adult hospitals maintain Primary Stroke Center certification – including Louisiana’s first. They are among the only units of their kind in Louisiana and the only one in Orleans Parish.
