United Way
Every day, we give the best possible care to our community, and we’re proud to support organizations who help our neighbors thrive. We are excited for our eighth annual United Way employee giving campaign, running February 23-March 23!
Thanks to the exceptional generosity of our incredible team members, we were able to contribute more than $71,000 to the United Way of Southeast Louisiana through our 2025 campaign. Last year, New Orleans East Hospital won the Biggest Heart Award for the third year in a row. This award recognizes the hospital with the highest employee participation rate during the United Way giving campaign.
This year, we’re adding two new recognitions:
- Changemaker Award: recognizes the hospital with the biggest growth in participation year over year
- Shining Star Award: recognizes the hospital with the largest dollar amount raised
Eligible team members must contribute a minimum of $1 per pay period or $26 annually. Every dollar donated to United Way has generated more than $36 in community impact, so donating just one dollar from every pay period leads to more than $930 in community impact per year!

How do I give?
Donating is easy with payroll deduction or a one-time gift. You can give through our online portal or by submitting a hard-copy form to your local HR department.
If you gave last year, thank you! Note that this donation is not renewed each year. You’ll need to give again to participate in our United Way Campaign for 2026.

What is United Way of Southeast Louisiana?
United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. United Way works to ensure every child has a quality education, every family has a stable income, and all residents of our region have access to health care.
What areas does United Way serve and will my donation stay local?
United Way of Southeast Louisiana provides funding to programs, collaboratives and initiatives serving the people of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes. All donations are invested back into these areas
Why is United Way a smart investment?
Because of the unique way United Way leverages gifts, every $1 donated generates $36.18 in impact. United Way, with the help of community partners, collaboratives, advocates, coalitions, volunteers, and generous donors, generated $408,750,086 in community impact in 2024-25 and beyond.
