Colleen Curran

I’ve been a licensed and board-certified massage therapist since
1999. I use a variety of techniques to help relieve pain, promote healing,
improve circulation, reduce stress, increase relaxation, and support overall
well-being. I truly believe in the power of massage to benefit not just
the body, but also the mind and emotions.
For over ten years, I was an instructor at Delgado Community College, where
I specialized in teaching massage therapy for special populations and
managed the program’s clinics. I’ve also had the honor of
serving two terms on the Louisiana Board of Massage Therapy.
Alison Doussan

I’ve been a licensed massage therapist, certified by the Louisiana
Board of Massage Therapy, since 2000. Over the years, I’ve come
to deeply understand the power of touch and the importance of truly listening
to my clients’ needs. My goal is always to deliver a massage that
calms the body and eases tension, using a blend of Swedish, Deep Tissue,
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), and Reflexology techniques.
I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients—from
athletes to individuals living with chronic illnesses or injuries. I believe
that everyone deserves time to relax and reset, and therapeutic massage
is one powerful way to support that process.
Patricia Lamantia

I received my massage training from Delgado Community College in 2019 and
became licensed in the State of Louisiana in 2020. I specialize in deep
tissue massage and enjoy creating personal, individualized sessions for
each of my clients. I also emphasize the importance of stretching and
often incorporate assisted stretching into my sessions to support long-term results.
My approach is intuitive—I let the body guide me so I can adapt to
each client’s specific needs. I love seeing people leave their sessions
not only relaxed, but also re-energized. I’m also experienced in
lymphatic massage and work with clients managing a variety of health conditions.
Julie Mathes

I’ve been a Wellness Center team member since 2002. I’m a licensed
massage therapist and certified by the National Certification Board for
Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I’m also a certified Oncology
Massage Therapist. I completed my training at the Santa Monica College
of Massage Therapy in California and Blue Cliff College in Louisiana.
I specialize in Geriatric Massage, which takes all age-related health conditions
into account. My clients have included people with traumatic brain injuries,
joint replacements, cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis,
and other chronic conditions. I customize each session using modalities
such as neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue work, Swedish (circulatory)
massage, and reflexology. I enjoy seeing my clients integrate massage
therapy into their personal health and fitness regimens. What a perfect
setting we have here for people to succeed.
Randi Sobelman

I’ve been a massage therapist since 1996, with training from both
the Texas Massage Therapy Corporation and Blue Cliff School of Therapeutic
Massage. My work blends physical techniques like deep tissue and neuromuscular
therapy with energy-based approaches such as Reiki, polarity therapy,
and reflexology.
I love getting to know my clients and take pride in tailoring each session
to their individual needs. My goal is always to support and improve overall
well-being—both physically and mentally.

Massage therapy
Our clinically-trained and licensed therapists use specialized techniques
to improve circulation and help manage pain and soreness.
Deep tissue
Focuses on the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues by increasing
pressure and targeting knots and tension. Typically this modality is used
for individuals with chronic pain, sports injuries and other musculoskeletal
conditions. It's common to experience some soreness after a deep tissue
massage, similar to muscle soreness after exercise.
Oncology
Involves a very light touch with slow modified movements to promote relaxation
and reduce discomfort. The therapist will adapt their approach based on
the individual's specific needs, considering their cancer type, treatment
stage and related side effects. A physician's clearance for this massage
is required.
Prenatal
Utilizes techniques similar to Swedish Massage but with modifications to
ensure safety and comfort for both the mother and baby. It involves gentle
manipulation of muscles and soft tissues to promote relaxation, alleviate
pain and improve sleep. Focused areas include the lower back, hips, shoulders
and any other areas where the expectant mother is experiencing discomfort.
Prenatal Massage should only be done in the second and third trimester.
A physician's clearance for this massage is required.
Reflexology
Reflexology focuses on applying pressure to specific points on the feet
and hands that correspond to different organs and systems in the body.
The goal is to balance the body's energy and trigger the body's natural
healing process. This technique promotes deep relaxation, stress reduction
and improved circulation. It is recommended to consult with a doctor before
starting Reflexology, especially if you have any existing medical conditions
or concerns.
Swedish
Known for its relaxing and therapeutic benefits. This modality is ideal
for those new to massage or wanting to improve circulation and flexibility.
Therapists will use techniques such as long gliding strokes, kneading
and rolling of the muscles and a tapping/vibration motion to invigorate
or calm the body depending on the speed and pressure applied.
