About Dr. Blanton

I have cared for women in New Orleans for more than 20 years and see patients on the Westbank. I earned my undergraduate degree in engineering from Duke University, then graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, where I also completed my residency in obstetrics and gynecology. I’m board certified in OB/GYN and in Clinical Informatics, I hold a Master of Health Administration.

My clinical interests include family planning and menopause. Delivering babies and caring for families through pregnancy, even when things don’t go as planned, is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I’m a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and offer both hormone therapy and non-hormonal options for managing menopause symptoms. I enjoy caring for patients through every stage of their reproductive lives and tailoring that care to each person’s needs.

I serve as System Chair of Women’s Services for LCMC Health, where I’m committed to improving how we deliver care to our community.
