About Dr. Steck

I'm Dr. John Steck, and I lead the spine team at Culicchia Neurological Clinic in Marrero, Louisiana. I'm proud to be part of the neurosurgery team at West Jefferson Medical Center, which has been nationally recognized by Healthgrades as one of the top spine programs in the country.

In addition to patient care, I’m committed to medical education. I teach and supervise neurosurgery residents rotating on our spine services, contribute to the residency curriculum, and take part in interviewing candidates for the program who wish to further their education at West Jefferson Medical Center.

My specialties include back pain and spinal surgery.

My little something extra

I prefer a conservative approach to managing the spine, emphasizing smaller and less invasive procedures when possible.
