About Dr. Kahn

I am the Director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and an Associate Clinical Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology. I received my medical degree from Tulane University in 1984 and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Downtown Hospital in 1990. I went on to complete a fellowship in urogynecology at St. George’s Hospital in London, UK, in 1997.

After achieving tenure at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, I spent two years with Southern California Permanente Medical Group before returning to New Orleans. Throughout my career, I have authored numerous publications and presented my work at international meetings. I also serve on the Editorial Board of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery, the official journal of the American Urogynecologic Society.

I am passionate about advancing the field of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and providing thoughtful, specialized care to women with pelvic floor conditions.
