About Dr. Simonian
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University School of Medicine, where I specialize in general obstetrics and gynecology. My clinical interests include caring for women throughout all stages of life and performing minimally invasive and robotic surgery for a variety of gynecologic conditions.
Some of the most common procedures I perform using robotic or minimally invasive techniques include hysterectomy, removal of an ovary, and treatment of adhesions, or scar tissue that can develop after pelvic infections or previous surgeries. I received the Lewis I. Post, MD Award for Surgical Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2009, and I am a member of the Louisiana Medical Association.
Communication is an important part of the care I provide. I speak fluent Arabic, Romanian, and Armenian, as well as English, and I have a good knowledge of medical Spanish. I believe clear communication helps patients feel comfortable, informed, and heard throughout their care. My goal is to provide a pleasant experience for every patient while delivering compassionate, high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care.
