Robin McGoey, MD, Corporate Chief Academic Officer, LCMC Health

Robin McGoey

Robin R. McGoey, MS, MD, serves as the Corporate Chief Academic Officer for LCMC Health, where she oversees the academic enterprise and clinical learning environment that supports more than 5,000 medical, clinical, and allied health learners each year. In this role, Dr. McGoey leads academic strategy, operations, and educational pipeline initiatives.

Dr. McGoey joined the faculty of LSU New Orleans Department of Pathology in 2005 after completing a Pediatrics internship at Manning Family Children’s and an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency. She went on to serve as Program Director for the LSU Pathology Residency before joining the University Medical Center team as Chief Academic Officer in 2017. In 2020, she was promoted to Corporate Chief Academic for LCMC Health where she serves today as the executive lead for the LCMC Health Academic Affairs team.

Dr. McGoey earned dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Medical Ethics from the University of Virginia, followed by a Master of Science degree in Clinical Genetic Counseling from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She received her MD from LSU New Orleans School of Medicine, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Lauren Rabalais, MPA, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, LCMC Health

Lauren Rabalais

Lauren Rabalais, MPA, is the AVP of Academic Affairs. She received her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University. Lauren has worked at a major teaching hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she was responsible for the operational management and oversight of the Graduate Medical Education Department and Grants Office. She is experienced in managing large and diverse teams, designing and deploying strategic plans and policy for academic affairs, and leading organization-wide performance improvement and change initiatives aimed at transforming the clinical learning environment and medical education delivery.
