WEST JEFFERSON MEDICAL CENTER WELCOMES NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO GARETT MAY

West Jefferson Medical Center (WJMC) is excited to announce the appointment of Garett May as the new President and CEO, effective as of April 20.
A seasoned healthcare executive with a proven track record in optimizing patient care and driving operational excellence, May’s extensive experience in healthcare management has equipped him with the skills necessary to successfully lead WJMC. Throughout his career, May has proven his commitment to fostering collaboration and enhancing patient outcomes through effective leadership and communication.
Most recently, May served as the Chief Operating Officer of Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, AL and previously held the position of CEO at Merit Health Natchez in Natchez, MS. With strong leadership experience across hospitals in the Gulf South, Garett is poised to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to WJMC.

May earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Mississippi College and his Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) from Mississippi School of Law.
