About Dr. Payne

I'm Dr. Bryan Payne, a Kentucky native with a passion for neurological surgery. I earned my undergraduate degree with honors in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky, followed by my medical degree from the University of Louisville in 1992. My training brought me to Louisiana, where I completed a general surgery internship at LSU-New Orleans, Department of Surgery. I served as Chief Neurosurgery Resident at LSU, where I expanded my skills at the now famed Charity Hospital.

Furthering my expertise, I trained at both the University of Virginia and Emory University before returning to Louisiana, where I continue to practice neurological surgery today.

I specialize in neuromuscular disorders and deep brain stimulation and am an active member of several professional organizations, including:
