My parents always said I was destined to become a doctor like my father. I chose ophthalmology for its precision, the beauty of fine surgery, and the analytical challenge it offers. Why can patients count on me for extraordinary care? Simple—I'm a baby boomer. We show up, work hard, and do the job right. It's just what we do.
My little something extra
I love eating out—and since Google tracks your location if you use an Android phone, I started reviewing restaurants. My “reviewing career” really took off after I posted about a 3-star Michelin restaurant in Berlin. Now, every time I dine out, Google prompts me to review, and I do. My reviews have been viewed over a million times. My compensation? The same as during my radio DJ days: zero. It's a labor of love.
