About Dr. Navia

I am a board-certified geriatrician and palliative care physician dedicated to helping older adults and people living with serious illnesses maintain their health, independence, and quality of life. As Section Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine and the Myrna L. Daniels Chair in Geriatric Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine, I bring more than 20 years of experience caring for older adults. In addition to caring for patients, I am actively involved in research focused on dementia, healthy aging, and improving care for older adults. I partner with patients, families, and caregivers to create care plans that support comfort, dignity, and the best possible quality of life at every stage of aging and serious illness.
