Touro Infirmary Foundation

In the New Orleans community, we hold many things close to our hearts — our rich history, our dynamic music scene and our one-of-a-kind recipes. Touro Infirmary is privileged to be an institution with a special place in the heart of this community, and for more than 165 years we've worked on strengthening this role as a vital healthcare resource.

Ask our patients and they will tell you that Touro is a special place where the staff is caring and willing to help. Our nurses, physicians, housekeepers, bookkeepers, volunteers and everyone else in between share that “special touch” that our patients see, every day. Our donors are a very important part of our team. They are our partners in ensuring excellent care for the community.

The Touro Infirmary Foundation was established in 1991 to support the mission of Touro Infirmary and the hospital’s commitment to patient care, health education and community service through leadership, resource development and financial stewardship. Judah Touro, a Jewish philanthropist, founded Touro Infirmary in 1852 with a mandate to care for the indigent sick regardless of race, color, creed or religious affiliation. His vision continues to this day, serving the community as a premier, diverse, multi-specialty hospital. As stewards of the financial contributions to Touro, the Touro Infirmary Foundation connects our donors' desires to our patients needs. We strive to remain transparent and open to new possibilities. A gift to Touro ensures the legacy of Judah Touro lives on.

If you would like to join us as a partner in providing healthcare for this community, you can Donate Now or mail a donation to us, sending a check or money order payable to the Touro Infirmary Foundation.
