About Dr. Akasapu

I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body works and by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Becoming a physician allowed me to combine my love of science, lifelong learning, and problem-solving with the privilege of caring for others.

I chose primary care because I enjoy building lasting relationships with patients and caring for the whole person—not just treating an illness. I believe some of the most powerful moments in medicine happen outside the hospital, through prevention, education, and helping people make small, sustainable changes that improve their health and quality of life for years to come.

Patients can count on me because I believe great healthcare starts with listening. Every patient has a unique story, and understanding their goals, concerns, and lifestyle is just as important as making the right diagnosis.

I strive to combine evidence-based medicine with compassion and clear communication. I enjoy explaining the “why” behind medical decisions so patients feel empowered to take an active role in their health. Whether we’re managing a chronic condition or focusing on prevention, my goal is to build a partnership based on trust, respect, and personalized care.

My little something extra:
Outside the office, I’m always looking for my next adventure. I love traveling and discovering new cultures, especially through their local food. I enjoy staying active with yoga, salsa dancing, strength training, and spending time outdoors with my family. That curiosity and sense of adventure carry into my practice. I’m always learning, embracing new ideas and technologies, and looking for better ways to help my patients achieve healthier, happier lives. I believe good health should enable people to enjoy the things they love, and it’s rewarding to be a part of that journey.
